SPEAKER QUINTET
The Divisi speaker family mimics the immersive atmosphere of a live performance by allowing users to direct isolated instrument tracks of their chosen music to separate speakers and adjust them individually in terms of spatial location, directional audio, and relative volume. Simply raise, lower, or tilt a speaker’s head to morph its shutters into the form of your desired sound.

67% [of Sonos listeners] want audio that makes them feel like they’re “inside the music.”
Despite significant advances in speaker power and sound quality, most modern systems still function primarily as passive intermediary devices.
OBJECTIVE
That role can be redefined by creating a more immersive home listening experience through the application of smart technology.
Using AI stem-splitting tools, the listening atmosphere can be pushed far beyond its current bounds.
A secondary objective was to consolidate all audio manipulation controls into a single, intuitive interaction.
VISUALIZING SOUND
This led to the inclusion of strips along the side of the speaker that can allude to an abstract soundscape—a direct representation of the volume of emitted sound waves.
While modern speakers have become incredibly powerful and precise in outputting high-quality sound, they are still just a basic intermediary device.
